Use of the DIC method in solving basic problems of solid mechanics
Hrůza, Vlastimil ; Pokorný, Jan (referee) ; Ščerba, Bořek (advisor)
This bachelor’s theses deals with the solution of basic problems of solid mechanics using digital image correlation. The research part of the thesis presents some of the optical methods used for deformation measurement, digital image correlation in particular, whose history, principles, limitations and utilizations are described in detail. In the practical part of the theses, three experiments are carried out, which are then evaluated using digital image correlation and the results are compared with the created computational models. In the first experiment, strain on the tensile test specimens with notches is measured, the second experiment is focused on measuring strain when bending curved beams and in the final experiment, natural frequency of a fork produced by 3D printing is determined.
Deformation measurement of motorcycle components
Augste, Jan ; Novotný, Tomáš (referee) ; Tůma, Zdeněk (advisor)
The task of this diploma thesis is technical solution for deformation measuring of motorcycle components. By reason of the technical discretion, technology of measurement was changed to another, using image processing. Retrieval which describes fundamental principle of method named photogrammetry and the main conditions of measuring. For a practical testing the carbon composite tube of main motorbike fork was used. It was loaded a with a bending moment. Due to measuring technology was changed, so the design of loading bench was change too. In the end of diploma thesis is appreciation of practical experience discovered in writing of this thesis.
Serviceability Evaluation of historical concrete floor slab
Dudek, Matěj ; Žítt, Petr (referee) ; Schmid, Pavel (advisor)
The master’s thesis is focused on serviceability evaluation of historical concrete floor slab realized in the third decade of the 20th century. The assessment of structural performance is based on the results of load testing in situ. The thesis defines contemporary load testing requirements followed by the specifications of measuring instruments and the possibilities of displacement measurements during load testing. In addition, it includes structural and historical investigation of the building, methodology and data evaluation of the load testing. Finally, the theoretical computer simulation of executed load testing is run by using software determined for nonlinear finite elements analysis.
The dam Letovice - the design of the reconstruction of the technical surveillance system
Vahalík, Zbyněk ; Špano, Miroslav (referee) ; Říha, Jaromír (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the design of the reconstruction of the technical surveillance system of the dam Letovice. The introductory part describes the area of the dam, dam's surroundings and the dam itself with the particular objects. The subsequent section describes the technical surveillance system and a list of existing measuring devices with description. This is completed by the measurement results of the technical surveillance system from previous years. Additionally, it also contains the list of devices, which will be removed during the reconstruction. The final part deals with the design of the new technical surveillance system, list of measuring devices and their characteristics.
